yes i do believe so. first off, national guard and reserve are not safe behind the line anymore, not to mention this war has no front lines. 2nd not everyone in the military is poor...i do not know where that comes from. hell my friend a staff sergeant in the air force has almost completed his masters degree. (he's enlisted after 911) i've known many rich kids who just wanted to be apart of something that mattered...incase you are wondering about the demographics, here is an example of the air force.

Yes, because it is only the idiots who think in such small terms. The big picture is that this war is still necessary. The leftist Cut & Run policy would only guarantee a political and military loss, as well as a serious loss in the war against terrorists and it would be seen as a huge victory (good for recruitment) for the terrorists.
A president has to see beyond their childrens' lives and consider the effects on the whole nation and the world. But you wouldn't want the president's kids in Iraq - they are too much high value targets that could be used to horrible ends because of who they are.

Yes I do. I have someone in the military and most of the people on here doesn't but they cry the loudest. This person volunteered to go. Now don't that just rot your socks. The people in the military see what is going on first hand. We see what the media wants us to see. Our opinions and bias are developed by the media not from experience. You will find that most of the people who have been there agree with the war but the media does not. Who do we believe? The person sitting in an air conditioned building or the person who is actually there or was there. Think about that.

No way. It's easy to send poor kids to do the fighting of rich politicians. Especially for an administration full of men that did not go to Vietnam when it was their turn. Some things never change.

i do no longer help a draft. it may well be a individual's determination in the event that they choose to connect or no longer. you do no longer choose human beings combating wars that may not no longer something to do with the protection stress. additionally, why precisely does absolutely everyone think of that the draft would placed any flesh presser's baby in conflict. Politicians have get entry to to greater aspects that we do... they'd honestly get their baby out of the draft without us understanding. So that's nevertheless going to be center and decrease type human beings going into the protection stress.

That wouldn't be a factor, Bush's daughters would be tucked away in a very safe place like a national guard unit in some quiet little state, just like big GB did for little GB. (Oh, the horrors GWB witnessed in his time in the national guard while J. Kerry was on a jungle vacation in Vietnam; remember?)
