I only need approx. 50, but I dont want to print them on my home computer. Is FedEX Kinkos reliable enough to use for something like this and/or expensive? I also need some fancy clip art for the monogram, any ideas???

If you print them at home, please be sure to use the high quality print setting, a clear font that's big enough to read, and be sure that you stay within the borders of the invite. I've received 2 computer generated invites in the last few years and both were awful because the people didn't take the time to try. I'm fine with them as long as they are done correctly. : )

I made mine but I printed them at home. I got married in January and had a snowflake theme. I printed them out and then did rubber stamps on them and dusted them with a very fine iridescent glitter. I also punched a whole in the top and tied a piece of velum with a white bow. They turned out beautiful.

Most craft stores sell the blank invitations and envelopes.

If you are interested in rubber stamping yours try www.stampinup.com. They have some beautiful wedding stamps.

Good luck!

I've never done wedding invitations with these guys but The Brown Store (UPS) sometimes has those services available. My sister does a Christmas letter every year instead of sending out Christmas cards but we get our local Brown Store to photocopy them onto fancy paper and we've done bridal shower invitations with them as well.

i am getting married in october and my fiance and i decided to make almost everything ourselves! which was unusual for us. neither of us are very creative and both of us are always very busy, but now that most of the things are made..i have to say, i am happy. nothing i could have bought would have personalized our wedding more than us making it all ourselves.
we went to a specailty paper store. bought some paper and envelopes that we liked. went home messed around on the computer and came up with how we wanted the cards to look and took it to a print shop..(not kinkos!!) and had them print up the invites as well as rsvps and they cut it for free.
we had very thick and metallic paper...everyone said it would be exspensive...we made a total of 150 invites as well as rsvps and i kid you not...it cost us 67 dollars!!
turned out to be much cheaper than we had expected!
the paper we choose was really pricey but to us it was worth it but there is a ton of paper out there.
plus, if you have a hard time figuring out how to make your invites...i'd go to a paper specailty store anyway, they usually have lots of ideas out and they can help you costumize your own...free of charge.
take care, good luck and have fun!!!!

i had my wedding shower invites printed at officemax. they did a great job.

i designed the invites, RSVP card, and registry insert on MS Publisher and then sent the file to the copy center and specified what sizes i wanted each card, and on what kind of paper.

so, i think the key to having someplace like this make them is being VERY specific in what you want, and having a design done beforehand.

i honestly think i will have them print my wedding invites when i get married someday, and just add something cute, like a ribbon, to them

I didn't do my own wedding invitations, but I did my own college graduation invitations. I bought the invitations from OfficeMax or OfficeDepot...can't remember which. Inside the invitations though, they had lots of examples of wording for a wedding invitation. You just get online, set the font and margins to how you need them to be and do it yourself. Use your clip art if you want...they have some simple but classy wedding pictures (bells, cake, doves). My friend did her own wedding invitations. She got some really cute invitations and just printed them on her computer in purple font...very cute and no one knew any different! :)

Do you work somewhere with a good copier/printer? I asked my bosses at work if it was ok to use the printers and my invitations turned out great. I offered to work out a fee, but they let me use it for free. I just got a kit from hobby lobby and printed them up and they look fantastic!

I have a Microsoft Task Launcher on my Windows and it has lovely clip art and fonts, but you have to be able to find envelopes to fit them.

i think it would be a good idea to draw on them depending on what they are for. kinkos is a goode place to go and i don't think they are the pricey
