It is illegal in the UK to pay for a loan. Admin fee's can be taken by the company after they have paid out the loan, but most of them just add them onto the loan so they make 15 years of interest on it.

This is proper Dodge.

No credible financial institution, Bank or Credit agency in the UK will ask you to pay a fee before giving you any type of credit, be this a credit card of personal loan.

Any company asking for money prior to them sending you money is definitely a scam and I would therefore go elsewhere.

All banks, building societies and financial institutions are governed by the FSA regulations and Ombudsman.

DO NOT SEND NO MONEY MATE !

I think some companies charge for loans as it means that the applicant has a bad credit rating.

Also if the applicant has a bad credit rating, they are usually charged a higher interest rate.

Its up to you what you do there.

DON'T DO IT, IT'S A CON. No creditable loan agency will ask you for money upfront, let's face it, if you can pay them £30 up front, you maybe don't need the loan in the first place !!!!!
