Does anyone know of a way to kick Mac & Cheese up a notch? I've tried adding tuna, and adding sour cream. Does anyone else have any ideas? Also, any ideas for Ramen Noodles? We eat them plain but there has to be something we can do to them. We are on a very limited food budget.

Try adding meat and/or vegetables. I like tomatoes in my mac and cheese. I think tomato, onion and ham would be good. An oriental blend of vegetables and/or salad shrimp in the ramen would be good.

If you are on a limited budget, learn how to make soup. A big pot can last several days and is a good way to make use of leftovers.

Mac and Cheese can be made in to a great hotdish, but use cream of mushroom soup rather than sour cream, along with tuna.

Ramen noodles could be made into a soup of sorts, you could add some leftover chicken, grated carrots and onion. I would sautee the onion and carrot first though..

very almost every time I cook dinner macaroni & cheese I upload something to it. on an identical time as the macaroni is straining, I soften butter interior the backside of the pan and fry the two hen or tuna. each so often I upload cottage cheese, garlic, or toddlers. some human beings us tomato soup instead of milk and contact it "crimson mac & cheese," yet my grandparents have some form of crimson phobia, so i do no longer make that. I additionally might upload extra cheese and bake a casserole interior the oven. It basically relies upon on how i'm feeling.

If when you make Ramon noodles you add any leftover meat or veggies it will be more satisfying. A way to add some protein to it is to wait until you have the noodles boiling rapidly and add a beaten egg to it, stir rapidly, and continue to cook until the egg is done. One of my favorite ways to have Ramon noodles is to have just the plain noodles (without the seasoning) with leftover sloppy Joe's over them.

I use Ramen noodles to make an Asian salad. I don't even bother to cut up the cabbage like the recipes says (although that would be more cost-efficient); I just buy cole slaw mix.

I add a can of cheap chile beans to the regular recipe and my 5 and 6 year old love it.
Ramen is good with teriaki sauce. Just drain the noodles and add a little. You can add other stuff like leftover chicken or beef in it but it is good just like that for kids. It's sweet. They love it.

I love ramen noodles with pasta sauce (instead of the powdered flavoring that comes in the noodle package)

I live by myself and am always trying to make Mac and Cheese taste better and to make it so that when it is reheated it is not gross. Adding sourcream makes it reheat better. I add tuna, or ham, or hotdogs, or chicken, or turkey, or chile. Basically you can add any meat to it. I also add pepper and onions (either instant minced or diced). For vegies add peas, peppers, ect (don't add corn, it doesn't add anything). I also like to add extra cheese (shredded), usually cheddar, coby, american, or parmasean. Sometimes I add cream of mushroom soup (add less margerine and milk).

Good Combinations:
1. with tuna, peas, pepper, cheddar, minced onion, cream of mushroom soup (optional), sour cream
2. with chopped ham, pepper, peas, cheddar (lots of it), sour cream
3. with chicken, monzarella or coby, parmasean, sour cream, pepper, peas, diced onion

For Ramen Noodles: I add them to my homemade chicken soup. I break them into small pieces. You can even freeze the soup with the noodles in them.
