A friend runs a firewall program offered by this site. They have some antivirus downloads as well. I run AVG's free antivirus program, and have no complaints. Works way better than Norton Antivirus, which allowed all kinds of crap through...

there none free antivirus, unless it came with your computers.
You can download free antivirus from edonkey2000.
You need to download edonkey2000, and then install this program, once you done, open this edonkey2000 and search the anitvirus software you like.
The good firewall is ZoneAlarm Pro and the Good Antivirus "Norton Antivirus 2006.

Yep. Windows XP already has a firewall in it, so stick with that. If you uninstall your virus killer in Windows XP you will get a security alert. It will tell you you really need to get a virus killer and will offer you suggestions. Most of them have up to 12 months free on them, so get that one. The one I got was called eTrust EZ Antivirus. Works fine and doesn't slow down your machine.

If you don't have Windows XP take a look at the site tucows.com they have all kinds of shareware or low cost ones.

Never buy Norton, it SUCKS!
