Yes, boyfriends will interfere with your schoolwork if you let them. If you want to have a boyfriend while you're still in school, you need to let them know that if they start distracting you from your school work, you're going to have to break up with them. That should straighten most of them up.

Just wait! Boyfriends are NOT worth your time when you are tyring to get an education and be successful. Wait until your done with school, then if and when you have a boyfriend, you can brag all about your success, better chances of having a REAL boyfriend because he will want to hear your successful stories and you'll have a lot more time to build a relationship! Id stay where your at if I were you! I wished I had waited, now after many years of emotional HE!! and confusion, crying, worrying, untrusting, Im trying to get a career and it's HARD!

well, its different with everyone. Some people make it so a boyfriend wont interfer with school, but some people fail out of school because of relationship problems. Give a relationship a chance while being in school, and see what happens. That's the only way you'll find out.

YES. They definitely do, especially when you're young. Now that I've been in college for three years, I've learned to concentrate a lot better - and yes, eventually you'll learn that there's a time and a place for everything. If you're still in high school, better pass on it - or just don't get too serious. Education is more important than silly high school boyfriends.

They interfer with school only if you let them. Just because you have a boyfriend it doesn't mean that you become irresponsible. If he encourage to do things that is going to jeopardize your education then he is not the right one for you.

If you do want a boyfriend- make sure that he does NOT go to the same school as you- if you ever broke up it would be that much harder for you to get over him or him over you, depending on the situation.
If you really had to ask everyone here and education is important to you, then wait until your done. It's better being single anyways.

Yes and no. I started dating my boyfriend in the 11th grade. I was an honor student till then. We've been together for over 4 years and i am starting my second year of college. If you want both, you'll have to work extra hard. My grades have slipped a bit but i wouldn't change it for the world.

That depends on the boyfriend. If you find someone who is genuinely supportive, then he'll do what it takes to make sure he doesn't interfere with your education. Just be careful, because a lot of guys will talk a good game and make you think they support you while their actions say otherwise.

Yes... Relationships are complicated and have the capability to produce alot on angst, confussion and heartache.
They can also produce a lot of laughs, support and enjoyment.
But both of these things will deflect your attention away from school. The question is, how well equiped are you to handle a relationship while maintaining your priorities? Only you can answer that question.

Only if you let the boyfriend interfere with school. Balance the 2 things.
