If I am not mistaken ,you could do a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA) and a Masters in Fine Arts (MFA) full time degree courses at Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Chennai. There you have a choice to choose your major area of specification as painting /sculpture etc.
For short term courses you could look up in the yellow pages.
