Hey Amy. I AM British. And I can handle a simple task like boiling a bloody egg.

Realdragonflame- your answer makes no sense whatsoever. Are you dunk, sorry, drunk?

realdragonflame- stop changing your answer. It's the second bit that's nonsense, not the first. I know what dunk means. That's why I made the gag. Don't get so upset. If you don't like the question, don't answer. Sorry for being cleverer than you.

I know one. Remember that housemate I was telling you about? She managed to half boil herself an egg. Wasn't pretty. I had to consfiscate it before food poisoning set in.
But, she'd only find a self timing egg useful if she could work out how to turn the hob on.

Boiling an egg is really quite tricky. A four and a half minute egg in Switzerland, at 500 m. is quite disgusting. This is because altitude affects the temperature at which water boils.

Pierce the blunt end of the egg with a pin and place it in water on a rolling boil. After four and a half minutes, lift it out of the water with a spoon, move the egg away from the steam and count 10 seconds. If the shell has dried, it's cooked, if not put it back in the water for a few seconds and try again. If it dries too quickly it's on the way to being hard-boiled.
For hard boiled try eight minutes.

How boring is that?

this is a good invention as getting a boiled egg that you can dunk with is really stressful.

Actually, you are the stupid one, as boiled eggs are eaten by millions of people where you are in my opinion not eaten by millions of people. Or maybe one person does eat you.

Self timing boiled eggs....Huh why? I read in a paper few weeks back, they wanted to bring out beans on toast ready to cook. That to me is wierd. I mean it doesn't take a genius to make it
