I can criticize other people who break the law on this issue. Like I said I don't demand a raise in the speed limit because I want to go fast, but they get to demand that we change our laws just because they want to live here?

This is just one of the many dumbass arguments illegals and their supporters use to try and justify criminal actions and mentality. They equate a traffic ticket with ID theft, stealing jobs and benefits they aren't entitled to, lying in order to stay here, making our country a look like a cesspool with their presence, etc. etc. There is no real comparison.

It was probably to make you take a look and see if you've ever done something illegal.

You admit that you have. So have the illegal immigrants. Granted the impact of illegal immigrants is greater than the impacts of going 5 miles over the speed limit, the point of the question (I'm guessing) is that everyone decides for themselves what laws they are going to break.

If you yourself break laws, can you really criticize someone else for breaking laws too?

I don't think it was that great of an analogy but it works I guess.

How can you compare the two issues. Illegal immigration is breaking the law and not having to pay a fine. A speeding ticket you have to pay a fine. There is a difference. And I don't think many illegal aliens that get speeding tickets even bother to pay the fine, let alone show up in court, so the point is moot.

With Speeding its the rules of the open road. If everyone is going 40 you should go with the flow. If everyone is going say 65 in a 55 its reasonable that you should again go with the flow at the 65...

With Illegal Immigrants: I feel that we all have to obey our Countries laws the best we can. If ones Illegal Immigrant to come to our country to enjoy our Freedoms good or bad they should walk that extra mile to become a Legal Immigrant...There are plenty in fact everyone came from some other land there parents or parents parents etc and they did what they had to do to become a citizen...

First of all, anyone that claims they have never driven over the speed limit, either doesn't drive or is a damn liar.
Secondly the speed limits in the USA are a (bad) joke.
When I drove in Germany for about a year 24 years ago, and regularly did 125 to 135 mph hour, that really got clear to me. In fact because this allows one to drive to the limit of ones ability, you never get bored and therefore not sleepy.
I would drive at 2 am in the morning and be wide awake.
When I came back to the states, I started falling asleep at the wheel in the middle of the day, and got a ticket because my foot pushed harder on the gas and a cop snagged me.
That was it for me. From then on to this day, I go like a bat out of hell and use my attention to watch out for these highway robbers, also known as highway patrol officers.
I have often wondered how many fatal accidents are caused here because the drivers fall asleep and crash because of that!!!
No one ever looks at or talks about that.
And 'speed kills'? Total B.S. Sleepiness, ineptitude and stupidity kills. Sure wish that would happen more in Washington, DC. :-)
And of course there is NO relevancy to illegal immigrants.
In fact on that subject (keeping them from getting drivers licenses), which moron thought that up?
They'll drive anyway, but now they get no training and can't get insurance! That sure will be very helpful (in upping the accident rate and uninsured driver accidents!) Yuck!

because some people say illegal immigration is wrong because it is breaking the law. but if you speed then you are breaking the law too so you need to come up with a better reason to be against it

wow good analogy-NOT. how dumb do they really come? r u serious, u want to compare a speeding ticket to immigration laws, how old r U or how much eduation do u have to come up w/that one. these r 2 very different issues: one is technical & the other is based on many more factors legally & illegally. might want to try and b a realist.

It is exactly the same. When you break the law you have to pay whatever the law says. In the case of illegals, it is ouster. and illegals don't help anything to thrive.

Of course your logic is sound, it's amazing and scary to see people say otherwise. I suppose in Novemeber they will also desire to vote for the candidate that will diminish or extinguish our American soveriegnty and rights.

I don' knwo anything about problems.
