Hockey is by far my favorite sport. It teaches you so many skills and qualities you can use as an athlete and a person. A hockey team is like a big family. Everyone gets along but once in a while there might be some problems. But hockey is def my fav sport and it is really good for your health. Out of any sport hockey makes u burn the most calories.

Fishing, if you want to call that a sport. It really does give you good arm exercise. Also hunting, but still, I don't think it should called a sport. Hunting gives you lots of good exercise if you WALK not ride back in the woods to get to your hunting stand. Then if you use a climbing stand, that utilizes arm and leg strength. More still, when , if you use a gun without having a rest, you are holding around 7 pounds very still. Trust me that takes more strength than you would think. But, if you use a bow or a crossbow without a , you will be pulling back at least 40 pounds, ranging up to the highest crossbrow draw weights, which are at around 225 pounds. Oh yeah, it takes strength. Of course, once you kill the deer or other game, then it's a matter of dragging your kill out of the woods. Trust me, I do all of this, every year, for at least 30 days worth a year. Who needs a gym membership when you have the great outdoors?

Hunting is the ultimate sport for me. It is a lifelong study and passion. It also let's you spend everyday of the year exercising. By scouting the game trails, working in the woods to improve your odds, By studying your game in the off season either by reading or by observations. It is not a single time pursuit.

After the year of studying, working the land, observing the quarry, and chossing the quarry you desire the most, then the actual work begins. Getting up early so you can get a couple of hours of hunting in before work, getting home and cleaning up so you can get out after work. On the weekends you go out all day from sunrise to sunset, just so you have better odds at capturing you quarry. In my neck of the woods hunting season starts the second Sat in Sept. And it lasts until the 2nd of Jan. I am in the woods every second I am not at work or sleeping. I harvest many animals in that time. All of which provides me all of my meat for the year. And most of my extended family a great portion of their meat. (Which is much better for you than store bought meat.)

But there are years where I have spent all nine days of the gun deer season in the woods and never have seen a Deer. And yes that is a shame, for me because I really depend on deer meat for alot of my meat consumption in a year. However it goes to show that in hunting just as in any other SPORT you can do EVERYTHING right and still lose because your opponent outsmarts you.

I compete in (I don't "play") Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, barrel racing, and bull riding. I can't exactly say that bull riding is a very 'healthy' sport, due to all of the risk factors and high chance of injury or death...
