White unmarked airplanes anyone?

My roommates and I witnessed the strangest event this past weekend. At about 3 am 5 or 6 white unmarked planes started circling in the sky above our apartment. They would come in with ABOSOLUTLEY NO lights on and flew in circles with criss crossing paths in complete darkness. Then when they would head in the direction of the airport they turned the lights back on. This continued non-stop until the sun came up. Does anyone have any clue as to what this could have been?

This happened over a major city in the US. We were very sober when this happend.

These planes were fairly small..they had propellers and seemed to be about the size of a private plane or crop duster. Also, we are not particularily close to any airports. It was a very clear night and these planes were flying quite low.
I'm just leting yall know exactly what I saw.

Sounds like Military test flights. There is enough radar, technology, and paranoia out there to keep foreign planes out of our airspace without our knowledge.

Probably just some pilots checking out the gear.

Sounds like student pilots doing "touch-and-go's", as they are called. Are you within 120 miles or so of an airport? Even a tiny landing strip?

They were carrying thought transducers to pick up what you and your friends were thinking my best advice is wrap your head in tinfoil to block any transducer rays the planes are beaming down and eat 12 blueberry muffins aday

Is it possible it was an exercise for student pilots? Either civilian or military?
