I'm in the same situation my bf lives 3hrs away too and I'm trying to figure out how and when I should tell him that our relationship can't work and will not work because of the distance......in a relationship I think that the two people need to see each other at least two to three times a week in order to have a relationship

Yes it really can work. I also met my fiance on the internet. Neither of us were interested in a relationship at the time. We only chatted for a long time on the net then we finally talked live on phone. When we finally met and knew each other's real names it was fantastic. We live approximately 2.5 hrs. from each other and we see each other each and every weekend. I have driven up to her hometown during work week a couple of times also to surprise her and just take her out for dinner. I must admit that I am not a big fan of the internet or computers as there is a lot of strange and dangerous people on line. However; I have to also admit out loud that I would not be were I am in live right now without this powerful machine. So yes I do believe that long distance relationships work and I am living proof as I will be marrying the most wonderful, joyful princess on this planet next May. The drive to see each other is not a problem at all and I really look forward to arriving and seeing my Baby again.

i've got had some "long distance" relationships, yet we are speaking diverse cities right here, no longer diverse states. on your case, attempt and check out it as an hiatus on your dating. You the two care approximately one yet another, yet you're the two now entering right into a time once you will aside and probably ought to "detect yourselves" in case you comprehend what I advise. there is no longer something incorrect with that, this is completely organic. i think of whether you probably did no longer say that on your boyfriend, the two considered one of you're able to in all probability do it besides because you're so a approaches aside. this is inevitable. merely keep in mind that faculty is temporary, and that once you're in careers some years down the line, 3 years at school won't appear as if an prolonged time. in case you 2 adult males can look after some semblance of a dating for the duration of that element, and yet adventure relationships with others, you may ok locate that when 3 years you truly do want to be with one yet another on a greater everlasting foundation.

I lived 2000 miles away from my husband when we first got together ( i was in Ireland and he was in Spain) but we have been married for 5 years now, so I think distance is fine as long as you are both committed to each other, hope this helps x

my boyfriend lives 4 hours away from me...so far, we have made it work. we see each other about once a month.

trust and honesty are the biggest factors in a LDR. you can make it work, but both parties must be willing to put a lot of effort into it!

good luck!
