Whats the world coming to when people can show disrespect for a word like PULVERIZE. Why I'll have you know that years ago you would have been arrested, put in prison and the key thrown away, for showing such contempt to such a noble word !

I like that word. I use pulverize and annihilate in my sports headlines on occasion.

I'm partial to 'defenestrate,' meaning "to throw something or someone out through a window." It's great that we have a word for that specific event.
