Why must they believe some one has to die for their sins??? Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachthani? Who was crying for God's help? Yet his followers believe he was God, who couldn't save himself.

Have they ever question why Jainism, Buddhism, Confucism or Taoism had not fought in any war over their leaders/ teaching/ practices, which predate Christ for at least 500 years? These faiths have no qualms over science too!

By reading a single book and claimed it's the only truth book is just another TOAD in the well...

Truly you are wrong. Let's look at the facts. Modern science stands on the shoulders of many who believed in the Bible as revelation from God. Many noted politicians or professors and professionals are Christians. All these are more than sufficient to refute your allegation that Christians had the weakest mind. Then again, what's your definition of weakest mind? Someone who believes that Jesus died for our sins? Why would this constitute a weak mind? How so? And just because you claim that other religions have not fought internally or externally over their beliefs (I beg to differ!) does not mean therefore they have strong minds. And these faiths have no qualms over science is because their worldviews do not provide that basis for developing science or advancing science. Stanley Jaky wrote a book on this. BTW, the Bible is not a single book, and neither do Christians claim that it is the only truth book in the world. Any book that tells the truth is a truth book as far as that truth statement is concerned. The Bible makes many truth claims. The Christian believes that every truth claim made by the Bible is true. Every historical narrative recorded truly happened. Every prophecy spoken indeed came to past and will do so.

It's funny because a lot of your claims about Jesus would be answered if you didn't take scripture out of context and read the thing as a whole. Then you would know that Jesus did say that He could call down legends of angels to rescue Him...He had that kind of power. You would also know that the Bible says that the wages of sin is death...so Christ in His love took our penalty for our sin.

I don't think that those other religions are necessarily aligned with science and that is why "everyone" is at peace. I just don't think that they have anything worth fighting for. Although, I don't think war is a good thing...nor do I think every "Christian" war can be justified...but I know if someone told me to denounce Christ or die...I'd die...it is worth dying for.

The events in the bible can also be supported as true events through other secular sources that have recorded history. It is also truth because of all the prophecy that has been fulfilled over hundreds of years.

It's funny how you seem to be so critical over Christianity...and yet except EVERYTHING else. Sounds like you don't know much of what you believe.

Again we see X'tians answer this Mad Chimp question with reference to their bible. If so many of us could read other faiths, I see how you can't.

Unless one is blinded by religious belief that you accept only one single book ( yet i many versions).

If God is omnipresent, he is sitting beside me now telling you frogs to read up more....Dun stay in the well hop up and out to see the world isn't the top of the well.

Quote:Arthur Schopenhauer
We find the doctrine of metempsychosis, springing from the earliest and noblest ages of the human race, always spread abroad in the earth as the belief of the great majority of mankind, nay, really as the teachings of all religions with the exception of that of the Jews and the two which have preceded from it: in the most subtle form, however, and coming nearest to the truth, as has already been mentioned, in Buddhism.

It almost seems that, as the oldest languages are the most perfect so also are the oldest religions. If I were to take the results of my philosophy as a yardstick of the truth, I would concede to Buddhism the pre-eminence of all religions of the world

Read the book again. He said I could call for a legion of angels before they came to take Him. Up to that point no man could take Christ or lay hold of Him. Also, after His Resurrection he walked around 40 days and was seen of many people proving that He was the Son of God. I have not heard any testimonies of any of these other religious groups accomplishing that! They are all dead and still dead. The devil never fights agaist anything that will interfere with his kingdom. But when you mention the Name of Jesus Christ. Then the devil will come to make war because he wants to keep people blind to the truth.

Why does one believe in one religion as oppose to another? Why does one support PAP whilst the other SDP? People have choices and are entitled to their own opinion and freedom to choose. God has given us all a freedom to choose.

Jesus had to die for our sins, so that in Gods eye we are clean and with no sin. We cannot achieve this ourselves.

Jesus didnt cry for Gods help. It was a cry of despair because at that moment in time Jesus had all the sin of the world in him. Because of this, he was momentarily separated from God., hence his cry - 'Why have you forsaken me?' Of course God could have saved him or Jesus could have saved himself but if he did, would man believe that he was God if he just got off the cross? And who would have cleansed us of our sins and bring us to God?

Not that the other religions that you mentioned are bad. They all teach good morality and social well-being. But you must remember that there is a devil, who is a great deceiver. His job is just to keep us away from knowing God and Jesus. Simple as that. If you believe in other religions or even being an atheist then he has done his job. God has given free rule for the devil here on earth. Then it doesn't seem illogical that Christianity have been given a bad name thru war and scandals.

Can you prove that conscience exist thru science? Or is science a con? But everyone has a conscience whether good or bad.

Claiming a single book is the truth is a matter of self opinion which you cannot deny others. Just because you don't believe doesn't mean its not true. More info on http://www.greatcom.org/laws/english/flash/

Interesting question.

God? He or She?

Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

Does Imacculate Conception = "VIRGIN BIRTH"?

Google Imacculate Conception and learn something.

What else do you falsely believe, Immaculate Deception?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Can Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing a mental illness and becoming truly lost.

The original Christianity was changed and Jesus did not die to save any one but every one is responsible for his deeds and god has no sons at all.
