I have braces. They are painful when you get them on and when they are tightened.Really they are just annoying.

Wow, I must be blessed. Everyone is saying theirs hurt, but mine didn't!
But yes, I do have braces. I've had them for about a month. Whenever I got them at first, it was really weird to eat things but mine didn't hurt. But most people's do, like one of my best friends got hers in February and she said it hurt 3 - 4 days. But I am getting mine tightened for the first time on the 16th, and I heard they hurt then from my friend, sister, sister's friend, etc.
But yea. Hope I helped..

I've never had them but a friend of mine did, and he said that it didn't really hurt, it was more like a strong pressure, if anything, more like a soreness, but not like a pain or anything. He said that it was only when they were first put on and when they adjust them, he could feel some pressure, but soon after he didn't feel a thing.
I wouldn't worry about it you'll be fine.

what is your threshold of pain? For example, I might pinch someone and it will not hurt. However, I might pinch you and it hurts.
Regardless, all braces adjustments all create "discomfort". Whether it is "pain", that's up to the actual person.

they really do not hurt when they are puting them on. They are just gluing brackets onto your teeth. They hurt afterwards thoguh, because your teeth are getting used to the tightness. xP
