Milk teeth.... yummy
Remember Wham! bars? They are still around but seem to have shrunk over the years... why!!!! Ohhh.... and what about space candy that popped on your tongue - you could bite the little bits in your front teeth and they would ping out and stick in the kids hair of whoever was unfortunate enough to be sat in front of you on the school bus... they were the days eh?

my nan always used to get a big tub of sweets from cash&carry for when i went to visit - she was my favourite nanny!

lik-a-stick
chico stix
real butterscotch candy
lemon drops
the cone shaped suckers that were green, red and white, really stuck to your teeth.
salt water taffy
wintergreen candy drop leaves
Bun candybar (I prefer the caramel to the vanilla or maple)
sour cherry balls
burnt peanuts
spice drops

Some of these you can still find in specialty shops or even tracker/farm supply stores. Thank you for asking this question, I enjoyed reliving some great days.

There used to be something called a 'sherbet fountain'. It was a yellow tube, with a sort of liquorice straw out of one end.My dad said to me one day(I was about 7) 'you can pour sherbet into a glass, mix it with some water and it makes lemonade'...I did it,it was absolutely awful.Tasted like plant pot water.Never forgotten that one.

Good question. (I'm from Britain, and...) I loved chewits, which pulled your fillings out. Refreshers were fizzy. Five centres were out of this world. Ruffles bars you can still buy. Lucky bags were full of sherbert and sugar. Lemon drops. Aniseed balls. Blimey, it's a wonder I've got any teeth left!!!
