At work today, the elevator opened to go down: no one was on it, and no one on my floor pushed the down button.

Also, many times I have looked outside and seen leaves moving along the ground, with no-one pushing them.

Finally, sometimes at night, I'll hear a loud "click", and then cold air will suddenly come out of the metal grates on my floors and walls.

1.) Elevators do that all the time.

2.) The wind is blowing the leaves.

3.) It's your A/C system. Mine does the same thing.

Guess you don't believe in ghosts huh? Or you are not that bright. Elevators do that, or it could have been a kind of short circuit. The leaves are wind blowing. The click is the ac, or a draft from temp/pressure differential.

The soul that sinneth, it shall die! Ezekiel 18:4
1 Timothy 6:16
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

I believe that the soul is the mind and it's the body's software which only functions wile it's animate with the breath of life. Just like you need hardware and electricity for software to work. Then we die I believe our "software" remains dorman until God resurrects us and only he can because the breath orginiated from him and was passed down to us from Adam (the first man). Satan can maquerade as dead loved ones. When we resurrect, it will either be to eternal life or no life at all (your software is deleted from God's hard drive). Like when you're naughty on cyberspace, your account can be cancelled! Hell comes from heaven and restores the Earth.

When you die, there is no sense of time. At resurrection you would think you just died a second ago.

You just have good elevator karma. The same thing happens to me all the time. I get to the bank of elevators, don't even press the button, and one just opens for me. I think it's because my husband was an elevator mechanic. Perhaps you have a similar connection which would account for your good karma.

You description does not provide enought details to be able to say yes or not, assuming you belive in ghosts.

THis could all be in you head because you are alone at night and noises are more obvious then during the day when people are around....

Yes it's ghost. They have nothing better to do than take elevator rides and russle leaves. What a great way to spend eternity.

It might just be spirits. Like deseased family/friends visiting or something. As long as you can't see 'em, consider yourself lucky! Unless you want to see 'em :P

Possibly, but it seems unlikely. Other alternatives are more likely.
