When a car thief takes your car, he just decides 'that's the car I want'. Now, instead of your car getting 'jacked, it's your social security number/your ID/your job. It's not about rights, it's 'what can you do to stop me'?......and 'yes, you can' do something to stop it, write your city council today and tell em you want something done about Mexico and illegal immigration. They'll take note of it, and pass it on up to your state govt. That in turn goes to Washington. When enough votes pile up in favor of turning a bright light on the US/Mexico border, and all the problems that have come up in recent years with it, then we'll see Meaningful Change. The news has reported a steady drop in illegal cross-border migration from Mexico to the United States thanks to our National Guard moving to the border and supporting the US Border Patrol. I think that is a superlative result, and here's hoping that the downward trend continues.

Building the US/Mexico border fence will be expensive, yes, but the costs for NOT building it would be nearly incalculable. As more and more states align themselves behind the idea of containing Mexico's social problems IN their country instead of continuing to let them spread into the United States unchecked,
the pressure's going to be on the mexican public to reform their own country so it'll be less hospitable/susceptible to the influences of crime etc.

I understand that illegals have fears and feelings like the rest of us. But why should our welfare system support them and their families if they aren't willing to become citizens or make the steps towards doing so? Do you realize how much we pay in taxes each year for the welfare system alone? And how much is paid to illegal aliens?
And yes, how much is paid to the lazy american that would rather continue to have children in order to stay on welfare? Or the ones that lie on their application for assistance? Our welfare system needs reform, but so does the "illegal immigrant system" we seem to have developed over the years.
Ultimately every one wants and needs somethign to complain about.. we all do. illegal aliens are no different. Each person is responsible for their own life and what they choose to make of it. If we all stopped complaining about each other and thought about how we could improve things for ourselves and those around us, maybe this country would be a better place to live for us all.

I know quite a few undocumented immigrants and not of them demand anything they are grateful for being here and getting any job they can,They ask for nothing and in return make whomever they work for extremely happy to have them as an employee.

The illegals I know of are afraid to be in this country, afraid to be shipped back to mexico. If illegals feel that way, it is only because this govt has allowed it. You should ask why does this govt. allows illegals to have rights as citizens?

This govt. created this monster, illegals are not the only ones to blame!

the problem is that the typical USA citizen seems to just not care...they don't really want to pay attention to issues such as these because it'd be too much of a freakin' burden to do so. Retarded?? Yes.

Well, if they are such honorable people, they wouldn't have come. Why? Because they would understand and honor our country's Rule of Law. Wait a minute, not even our population does that!

why be a hypocrite, most of us if not all of us break the rules and laws sometimes. if you break the law, it is a crime... There's many more americans that break the law than illegals.
