See if your new school has a club that you'd be interested in joining. Ask someone if they'd be interested in studying together. Go over to one of your classmates during lunch and ask if they mind if you join them. There's all sorts of ways, it's just a matter of screwing up your courage and making the first move.

Just remember, anyone who'd shoot you down for trying to talk to them is going to be a loser who'd stab you in the back eventually anyway.

Just talk with other individuals, it's that easy. The question is why do you want to be with the "in" crowd so badly? Just be yourself, if people don't like you, who cares, because there always will be a group of kids who do. High School is easy, don't fret too much about getting friends and such, that will come naturally.

When you start school you will meet all sorts of people. Which ones are good people all depends on your version of what good is. By the way who says you are a good person?
