i love italian food, i have never been to Italy but would like to go

during the 1980s all the tv programmes say that Italy was a really fast place and made the best things (like ferrari and lambourghini, a lot of big designers made their name in the 1980's)

now Italy tends to have a reputation for being slow and laidback though, really glamorous as well - i dont understand when this change occurred, i just think the Italians love life and have different priorities than consumer countries ;o)

I tried to make friends with some Italians back when I was pen paling and found they thought Americans too stupid to learn Italian. But, I guess that I must like Italians because my best friend when I was growing up was an Italian and we used to date Italian girls and then I married an Italian girl by accident. But, I really got on well with my father-in-law. So, my opinion is that Italians could be OK. non parlo italiano.

italians are very sexy people, much like the british. You have an abundance of culture, probably more than britain. And your country is nearly the same size with same population. I've never been to italy though, but wil one day.

In Belgium, Italy is known for it's great football, it's beautiful countryside, the churches, the mediterranian mentality (people who aren't afraid to express emotions like grief, love , joy ...) and of course we always think about the mafia (srry, but it's the truth) and the pizzas

Its likely because you study using only a textbook. If you want to be able to speak and understand a language the audio is just as important as the textbook. You need to listen to how native speakers pronounce things and get used to the speed they talk.
