Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, shall separate us from the love of God, which is in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 9:38-39

Answering only for myself, I evolved beyond a belief in Jesus as a divine being. No tribulation, distress, or persecution. I simply grew up. As I learned more and more about the world, the many belief systems held by peoples around the world, the ways those systems were fashioned and how they changed over time, and how morality and religion are not synonymous, I grew out of my belief in supernatural beings.

Like Thomas Jefferson, while I continue to admire many of the teachings attributed to Jesus of Nazareth, I no longer believe that he was a perfect and divine being.

I think this was a rhetorical question. Like when your mom asks you, Do you want to be sent to your room? Well DUH, no! This verse in Romans is trying to say that for those who Love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind, NOTHING can separate us from his love.

Even when a child dies, the love of the parent continues. Even when we turn our back on Christ, he will still be there waiting for us to come back.

Nothing should separate from the Love of Christ.
Because love is the greatest thing on earth, and if love is in us, then we will never depart from Him.

For God love the world that He given His only begotten Son for us.

GOD (if there is one). Funny how many Christian sects have begun to put it as SON FATHER HOLY SPIRIT in that order...seems to be blastphemous. I am a heretic and see the invalidity of accepting Christ as anything more than a man. PEACE!

Yay! Good verse :) And Romans 8:31 - 'What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?'
