What is so hard to believe that God created the planets and galaxies and life here on earth in a pattern so that it is easier for us to understand, or easier for God to do?

after 22 answers i see several good answers, but only a couple that jump out as "best" contenders. It seems that there are those who lean heavily (heavenly?) toward the religious rules side of the argument, but only a couple who truly acknowledge a scientific creation theory...

and you personnaly spoke with darwin and he told you that he knew his research is inaccurate?

The two don't have to be separate. However, many feel that the classic religions contradict evolution (see creationism). To illustrate, many religious scholars who do believe in evolution have to reconcile their religious texts to the idea. Many others are not comfortable reconciling older text to the new science; they'd rather address each on their own plane.
But there are those who do believe in both. I am Orthodox Jewish and the significant majority of my Orthodox Jewish peers believe in both. Evolution can only take you a finite amount of time into the past, and we have trouble reconciling that idea with the seeming infinity of time, i.e. we believe that the physical world requires a beginning.

It's not hard at all the believe God created the planets and galaxies and life here on earth in a pattern. That is exactly what He did. God and true science are not separate. But evolution has not been proven to be science. The "Big 4" of evolution: Miller Experiment, Haeckel's embryos, Darwin's Tree of Life, and the Missing Link, all offered by evolutionists as proof of evolution have all been proven wrong. Haeckel was a fraud and this has been common knowledge in the scientific world for over one hundred years, yet those silly drawings are still in our textbooks. Anyway, I could go on and on. But your question was why do God and evolution have to be separate. Because God is truth, there is no lie in Him, and evolution has been plagues with so many people with agendas that all the "evidence" is tainted with half truths, misrepresentation and outright fraud. Even Darwin KNEW the fossil record didn't support his Tree of Life, he just hoped eventually it would. Why would I even begin to believe something that the "discoverer" himself knew wasn't supported by the evidence?

If there is a God he created evolution just as much as any other scientific situation, if you get my drift.
Some people spend a lot of time trying to defame evolution, and the real reason is that the god they believe in is actually a half-god, and could not survive the truth of evolution. But a real god would have no problem with it.
Just like a real god has no problem with the Earth revolving around the Sun, whereas the half-god of medieval church people could not tolerate the idea, because it contradicts Joshua's commanding the Sun to stand still during a battle in Old Testament times.

actually, in the case of planets and galaxies..
we dont have a suported theory of where the moon, planets, stars or galaxies came from... in the case of astronomy, the grander the scale the flisier the evidence
in fact, dont be surprized if the big bang is abandoned as not helpful in this cenury
perhaps some of there things should be called conjectures and speculations
in the end Im afraid you are under the mistaken idea that the pattern commonly suggested for origins is well supported with data... when in fact...no... and in the case of astronomy the grandest of speculation rides on the flimsiest of support

Easier for God? Nothing easier for God. Nothing is hard, therefore nothing can be easier. Besides, why is it so hard to believe that a God that can do anything, could just snap His fingers and make everything? By creating the world in six days, He's showing us His power. With evolution, everything is up to the creation. Why would He leave it up to the creation to create itself? That doesn't make sense.

For people who accept the Bible as literal truth, accepting evolution is impossible, because the Bible says all the creatures of the world were created just as they are now, 6000 years ago. So some people are more flexible, they think of the Bible as allegory, not a factual record but religious fiction, then they can absorb the moral and spiritual lessons of the Bible without hanging up on issues like carbon dating or dinosaur bones, etc.

That's exactly my thinking. If He had created everything simply and without complexity, it wouldn't really be that interesting, would it? All questions about the universe lead to God as the answer. I've read articles in the past about physicists and other scientists finally coming to the conclusion that the universe was created by God because there is no other answer, I wish I could find those links but it was months ago!!!

Depends on what you consider to be "God". My idea of God is a incredibly superior alien race; by that definition, evolution and God are different in the sense that evolution is a all encompassing process where as God is subject to this process, that is God is also subject to evolution. Perhaps he has figure out a way to bypass evolution all together, but that would require infinite energy!

God and evolution are separate b/c God said that He created the heavens and the earth, the sea animals, land animals, man and woman--everything--in 7 days. He could have used evolution to make everything but He didn't. He told us how He did it. If you believe in God, you should probably believe what He says.

Evolution in general doesn't have to be separate--but the evolution of man does. God created man, not ape-man. Other than that, I believe in evolution--I just think the scientists have their timing a little off.
