God is the most amazing being in the entire universe. It seeks to amaze me of his great power and how intricately designed he created this world to be. So many people don't believe yet they still continue to search for an explanation for their lives when it's so simply put right in front of their eyes. This month in my church we are discussing the Harvest Field, how it is ripe and ready for us Christians to spread the word of God. There is something inside of everyone that needs to be filled and the only One that can fill that space is God. Remember Mark 9:23

How can God be a being in the universe if he created the universe?

Is it not possible to believe in God apart from the Bible? After all, most people in the world believe in God, but not the Bible.

How can you believe in Jesus, who taught love and came to save the lost, and also believe in the Old Testament god Yahweh, who is vengeful and quick to anger, according to the Bible?

How can you admire a being who designed the world so that most people who ever lived will burn in hell forever?

Is the Biblical god the real God? Is that your only option?

What does Mark 9:23 have to do with anything Christian? Any self-help author will tell you that "everything is possible for him who believes".

I guess the core of your belief is escaping a hell that the Hebrew god created, or at least allowed to be created. How is it possible to be separated for eternity from a God who created everything and is everywhere?

Remember Luke 3:6 and Luke 17: 21.

Er, if you really look closely at the wonders of nature it quickly becomes obvious that nature is FAR too complex to have been "intelligently designed". A simple universe might be the product of a creator, but the real universe is far too complex for that kind of thing.

That's why we need a better explanation, and that's why people work in the sciences to understand how evolution works.

And of course there is no "Christ" anyway.

No. Have you met this god? No? Then how do you know it is the most amazing being? Don't you think you try to spread the word too much, to people that do not want to hear it?

No...I have to say you are insulting to Jews, Muslims, and every other religious belief system that doesn't buy into the Christian edict that Jesus is the one and only way to heaven...Spreading that "word" is a waste of your time because those that have differing beliefs while respecting your view at the same time revile your view because of just that...YOU TRY TO CONVERT PEOPLE. Stop that and we'll all get along fine. PEACE!

I am a Christian, but I believe that the religion of Christianity misunderstands Jesus' teachings and are misguided in their efforts to convert the world.

I agree with the sentiments of Andre Gide, the French literary Nobel-prize winner: "Trust the man who is seeking the truth, but beware of the man who claims to have found it."
