Make sure it's the correct length with regards to whatever shoes you will wear. That way you won't be tripping over it. When you are wearing a gown....especially if it is strapless or has teeny tiny straps, the attention will be drawn to your shoulders. Make very sure your posture is excellent...put your shoulders back, don't slump. I have seen more pretty girls and dresses ruined by bad posture.

One other thing; simply putting on a gown isn't enough. You need to make sure you have the correct accessories, your hair is done nicely, if it needs a necklace or earrings, etc. It should be a complete package, not just put on the dress and call it a day.

Take smaller steps and keep your chin up and your shoulders back. Practice walking and sitting down with a book balanced on your head for the perfect ballgown posture!

Stand up straight - shoulders back, chin up. Don't look down.

MAKE EYE CONTACT with everyone you see.

Smile.

Don't fidget with your hands.

Make sure your dress is properly hemmed for the shoes you're planning on wearing!

HAVE FUN!

Always keep your chin at a 90 degree angle to the ground even if you are descending stairs. A lady never looks at her feet.

Head up, shoulders back and down, back straight.
