Thank you for your question, and I hope to be able to answer all to the best of my knowledge. The only question I got from here is on differing perspectives, so if you want to know more, just ask!

Like most religions, Islam has not been immune to differences of opinion regarding certain topics. These differences divide people into groups and sects, while Islam should be bringing them together. Here is a previous answer I gave on the topic:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjDsSa06E100Dpf0yaBfRMXsy6IX?qid=20060725102320AAs26Ai

There are many factors that come into play when sects and denominations are divided. Different levels of faith are one, as another poster mentioned parenting plays a big role, economical status, location, individual personality, anything that you can think of that would affect a person's opinion is involved. Unfortunately this is the best I can do for now, lol, so if it's not what you were looking for, just ask! :D

It's called parenting. We are brought up by our parents. We are who we are pretty much by accident. No one really looks deep enough into themselves to realize that. They are told by their parents who were told by their parents and so on. And their parents only tell them about their own belief and not any others. Many people just "believe" they are who they are because that's the way God wants it.

Some of us have realized that our parents have raised us, but when we become adults it is our responsibility to evaluate our own beliefs and learn about the beliefs of others. We are a minority. And a lot of other people look down on us as blasphemers or whatever. Personally, I don't care what one calls me. Sticks and stones...

I'm not a bent Christian, and I'm not an atheist heckler, just thought you wanted a real answer about why people have differing perspectives about religion.

Islam is about peace and love. if you look at the basics of Islam, you will know why Islam is a great religion. listening to media or the people who do not know Islam will rein your knowledge.

Islam is great because its prayers purifies your heart. in Islam, if you have a pure heart and love the others, heaven will be granted.

in Islam, you discover new things through hadith and Quraan. There is no hatred or anger in Islam (as media tries to show).

God-Allah forgives you if you regret doing a bad deed.

there is freedom in islam and Qurran helps you pave your path. God knows what better for people, so he forbids drinking alcohol and other things that harms people.

thank you kindly for the way you approach ur question.

i am not sure what r u asking for, but i will tell you for sure that Americans do not get all the news or things going on in Lebanon. they just hear "war in the middle east" while in fact it's not equal power at all. mostly everything is with the hand of Israel, even the peace.
and Israel is not a Jewish faith, Israel is an organization created by Jewish Zionist. not all Jewish are bad. and they are those who are against what Israel is doing against civilians.

also, i would really like if someone just tell me the definition of terrorism, and i will tell him who he is?
