my sons is like that....not all the time....i think its mostly right after he pee's and if he sits too long in a wet diaper (not to give anyone the wrong impression...my sons diaper is always fresh as soon as i know its wet...he's only had diaper rash once when he was first born...hes 9 months now) but anyways....when i notice it gets red like that you can put either baby powder on him or baking powder.....dont put any creams on him bc it will hold in the moisture and moisture is prolly the reason why its red in the first place....hope that helps

My nephew dealt with something similiar and it turned out to be a common occurence. However, if your son is uncircumcised, it is possible to be having bacterial infections that could be cleared up with proper washing or getting cut. Best advice is listen to the proffessional who went ot school for years and years to learn what to look for as far as problems on the human body. Good luck.

Just like your skin changes color from the outside of your vagina to the inside, so can the opening in the penis.

If the doctor says not to worry about it, then don't worry about it. That's what you pay him for.

If the doc says it's ok, then why worry? Just keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go away after awhile, then go back to the doc and tell them it's not going away.
