I love the girl that I'm with and we were talking about being IN love and neither of us knew what that meant. I asked her if she was in love with me and she said that she didn't know and then asked me what being in love was that was different than just loving me and I didn't have an answer. She said that once I can tell her what it means to be IN love she will tell me if she is.

In love is when you still are totally hot for one another, dont argue, want to spend alot of time together, get butterflies in your stomach etc. etc. Loving someone is when you guys have about 5 or 6 years together, and she feels somewhat of a sister to you (not being sick here). You guys go out and its just a NICE time, But you also know that there is not really anyone else you would rather be with.

The best way I know how to explain it is that loving someone is a choice. Being in love is like you have no choice. Something inside you says I must love this person and I can't stand being away from them.

Loving someone is a general type of love that one feels towards some relatives and friends ie peope you know that you love but couldnt be around all the time like parents. being IN love with someone means that your heart is devoted to that person that love where all you want to do is be with that person at all times forever ie your girlfriend

Being in love with someone means your whole world seems to change. You're flaws seem to become less so, you become more patient, it's like the world seems to fall into step with you, not the other way around. Being in love changes everything in your world. Loving someone changes the way you see things when you're with them, not all the time.

Being In Love, is something you 'fall into' with someone you love more than a friend, as in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.

In your case they are both the same thing...as you shall love thy neighbor as you love yourself...so when you speak of loving someone in particular you are basically talking about being in love with that person as well...therfore, don't play yourself....the best thing you can do is be honest, and if that person is not IN love with you then learn to move on.

In love: you cant fall asleep knowing he/she is mad at you, you call just to hear his/her voice. You cannot let a week pass without seeing the girl or guy. You would do ANYTHING for this person. Is just someone you can't live without.
Loving someone: the same love you would have for your cat (or dog)

When you love someone. Its a general term that applies to friends and family. You love your mom your dad, best friend, etc. When your IN LOVE your attracted to that person mentally, PHYSICALLY and emotionally.
