can someone tell me why people like to lie alot. even people that are like family to you.

People lie out of cowardice and thats the bottom line.They are too afraid to take responsibility for what theyve done for we are all cowards but we must still remember to forgive because without forgivness we are nothing but savages

Its a social phenonmenon.
Lies can be for many reasons.
With a lie you might be able to escape from a really embrassing moment,
With a lie you might be able to help some one feel better
You can make some one happy with a lie.
Such lies are positive lies. And if someone tells a lie for some negative things, then it can be an issue.
Its mainly because of pride

There are no simple answers to that question.
It's entirely possible that some people just lie out of habit. Who knows why, they just do. Some do it to avoid hurting a person's feelings; some do it to make themselves look bigger/better/more impressive than they really are. The specific reasons as to why a person might lie are really based on who they are as individuals.

some people like to lie to cover up the truth, others do it to big them selves up, others do it to stir and cause trouble for innocent people, but at the end of the dasy there are many different reasons for why people lie, its within human nature, which can be difficult to understand, as some people lie about really bad things.
but dont worry, its all a part of living this life, you have to lie!

All people lie but if you only look a little deeper inside their heart you'll see that they don't really want to lie. All people have to cover with their mask even know it's hurt the both people.

Cuz they'd rathar save their own a** rathar than spare the feelings of others! Its called a guilty conscience,and they'll go to any extent to make an impression. So,they end up covering up a lie with another lie.... you can see where this is going right?!?!? LOL

I believe people lie for many different reasons. To protect, to conceal, to deceive and then there is fear of the truth. Which eventually comes out. There could also be the self image to protect? That could be a motive.
