My son has four childrenand only a high school education. I am looking for an intensive program that would at least get him in the door for a good vocational job.

You can't get better training than the U.S. Navy for welding. And, its not only free, they pay you to go to school. The Navy uses the most up-to-date technologies, which would give him a foot in the door for any welding job he could ever want.

As far as combat danger is concerned, its extremely low. U.S. ships are rarely, if ever, within firing range of the enemy. And he can always sign up for a short contract.

On top of all that, the Navy will pay for family housing, medical benefits, and real vacation time that he can spend with his kids.

Just have him see a recruiter to ask questions. Getting information obligates you to nothing!
