There is a chace that my 11 year old son (and is having a social anxiety problem) have to get home instruction instead of going to school. Do anyone knows what do we need to do to provide it? How do we approach the school system about it, etc. Do you know if it is possible that he participate or take some classes in school to help him to reintegrate in school?

Thank you

My mom homeschools in Florida and it's not really hard. There is testing once a year that costs $200 per child (that's if you want the results to come to you). I think all you have to do is let the school board know by letter that you intend to homeschool. However, they won't let him just take "a few" classes, and if you put him into school again, it will be VERY hard to get him out again if need be. If he needs to socialize, join the Y or some other facility and let him go to play groups and such. And the Scouts, can't forget the Scouts.
