Same reason I don't believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, or purple winged elephants. None of 'em exist, and there's no evidence for any of 'em. Simple enough, hey?

What makes you think so? Believing in God is like believing in yourself. You ought to know first who you are. Ask yourself 'who am I' and find your own answer. That is what believing in God is all about! That apart, the so called miracles and misfortunes attributed to the unknown is nothing but a MYTH!

And it's because I don't believe in a dear and fluffy Lord. I think at best God (whatever it is) is indifferent to us. I haven't seen any divine providence come my way and it seems there's too much bad stuff in the world to really make him believable.
