You know what, we are never satisfied wit whatever we have. And thats true. We love the dish in other's plate. I am the eldest of my siblings and have two younger sis and the youngest brother. Ask anyone, the sis younger to me will say that better if she would have been in my place or my brother's- reason -the oldest gets all the privileges as he's the first child and youngest as everyone takes care of him. But not true dude. The oldest has his own share of responsibilities that you cant even think of. or may be you dont want to. But thats true. I have been doing such a lot for my siblings and of course thats why I have got my big share of love and respect from them. My younger sis, 2 and 3 sometimes wanted to be on my place, but now since I have got married and they are kinda on that place, they wanna run from that saying that it was better I was there.
So the moral is that WE ARE NEVER SATISFIED WITH WHAT WE HAVE. and thats the life is all about.
You will have a lot of such kinda stories from others (of course not from your friends, if they are youngest like you). So nothing wierd about it man. Enjoy with what you have and still you find some kinda real problem, talk with your siblings and your parents. So easy

No it isn't weird, you have to look at the whole dynamic. You are the second son, she the only daughter. I am number 5 of 6, but I am a middle child, born between the only son and the youngest child who was born with a heart deffect. It's just what you do with your life that matters, not your placement in the family dynamic. Make your life about you and who you are, rather than your status in the family.

I am the 2nd child of 4 and because my older brother never did anything first(drivers lic, job, move out ,college etc..........)and I did those things first, everyone treats me like I am the oldest. Even my grandparents one year, said that they would stop giving us $ on our 16th b-day. Well my brothers rolls around and he got $, the next month was mine and I was 15, and all I got was a note that said"since you are already 16, your just getting a card!!?? My brother just laughed and said'Hey- their old" Sure he got the $ and I got a card - go figure

Its not weird, its just the way that your family is. Another reason why stereotyping is bad, the youngest doesn't always have to be the brat and the middle child isn't always the peacekeeper. You shouldn't be worried about it, no two families are alike.

No thats not weird at all. I am the youngest of four sisters. I am more responsible and driven then my sib's. I feel like the oldest sister all the time.

Does sound unusual. Its not easy to be the oldest either. I fought for every priviledge and then the brothers got them so automatically. Plus parents are even more protective with girls.

with your sister its because she's the only girl....with your brother sounds like it's because he is the first boy....no your parents dont want to just get it over with.....thats kind of how it is in my house and my mom once told me you treat each kid as their own kid not at fairness to the other kids....if you act like an adult you will be treated like one...if you give your parents a reason not to trut you they wont trust you.....
