Good cars. Just make sure you check the oil regularly as they have a tendancy to burn oil once a few miles have gone on the clock (and see if there is black ring around the end of the exhaust pipe which shows that it's already started)
Being a Ford, parts are cheap and they are cheap to run and fairly safe. People might say they are Chav cars but keep the spoiler and side skirts off it and don't be tempted by a steering wheel cover and you should be okay.

Great car - reliable, great to drive, reasonably cheap to run, not bad looking, huge, comfortable, exclusive (the BMW 3-series now sells more in the UK, so the Mondeo is less common than the 3-series), great value second-hand (but good luck in finding one that's not silver). The higher spec ones are very well equipped. The lower spec ones have high levels of equipment, but always tend to lack that one thing you really wanted.
Its only problem is that the Ford badge isn't exactly prestige - but then I couldn't live with the image of a BMW driver, so maybe that's a good thing.

human beings are continuously going to slag off Fords, for motives i won't manage to comprehend, as Fords have been in my kin for years, which includes Fiestas, Kas, Escorts, concentration', Sierras, Mondeos, Transits. no longer one among them had a considerable breakdown, different than one G-Reg Fiesta, that mandatory a sparkling gearbox at 120000 miles. They used to have a topic with rust, yet modern-day Fords do no longer. As for the Mondeo, it gained automobile of the 300 and sixty 5 days while it became first released, it has a superb chassis, the Mondeo sources pioneered Fords administration Blade rear suspension, which wa used on the concentration and created the wonderful coping with small kin automobile. evaluate that to Vauxhalls efforts and all you get is self belief zapping understeer. you besides would get an incredible indoors with the Mondeo, that wears alright, returned in comparison to Vauxhalls indoors, the place you quite often see worn kit gaitors, worn steerage wheels edges and black and gray plastic, that's complicated to maintain looking sparkling. Vauxhalls engine are ussualy fairly greater efficient than the equivalent Ford instruments, yet i've got heard horror memories approximately Vauxhall diesel engines, gasoline pumps costing close to the £2000 mark. i'd reccommend the Mondeo finished heartadly.

Nothing wrong with a Ford Mondeo, Cheap, Economical, low (ish)insurance, good family car, and if your inclined - easy to buy accessories for, ie. Wheels, Speedo dials etc
Buy a car you can afford that way you can spend more money on HOLIDAYS!

I have had many Mondeos and found them all reliable and good cars to drive. Love the diesels, but change the oil regularly as turbos cost up to £1400.00 to replace by a main dealer!

Often referred to as a 'MUNDANEO' as they are EVERYWHERE, and a bit bland. But, I've owned one in the past & found it quite comfortable, VERY predictable handling, reasonable for insurance, plenty space for most people, comfy seats, good engines - 1.8 Diesel or 2.0 petrol / diesel probably best.
The 2.5 V6 is OK, but not as 'interesting' as it could be.
Just don't get a 'poverty spec' GLS..... minimum of GLX for any form of comfort level....otherwise it's just a box on wheels!!

The older models were a lot better if a little dated in the looks department. The newer re-skin version handles like a brick I find.
