"soldier612", your probably the most foolish and cowardly people I've seen on yahoo answers. What are you talking about "challenging the bible"? Who's doing that? This link isn't refuting the bible, it's pointing something out IN the bible, dumby.

Mythological jargon. The Bible states that Adam and Eve were the first. End of story. I can write whatever I want and make you believe it, doesn't mean it to be true.

It is funny to me how that any person ...challenges the authenticity of the bible ,,criticizes the content...but then turns right around..and believes the story of evolution..or other theories...the problem is ..men wrote the science books and other material provided that children learn or are taught...???...huh...you mean you can't believe the bible because men wrote it?...God used men as vessels to write..what was an already finished product in the mind of God...and being the Alpha and Omega...beginning and the end...knows that men in their finite minds would try to change the word..so He says:
in Jeremiah 33:20.Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
21. Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant,
If you cannot change night and day...then you cannot change Gods word...since the world began and there was a night and day..and that hasn't changed..for one reason..because men cannot change Gods word......
The content in the mind of God was put on paper and has not changed ...the bible is the oldest and most read book..and it is a book of the ages...it's word has been proven...over and over again....
Right now we see the world in turmoil and the bible shows that it would be this way...
So If the bible says ...that Adams wife was Eve..that is what I would believe...lillith...never even heard of her..not in the bible during Adam and Eve...
If you don't have Christ.in your life ..then you will not through your own logic be able to decipher Gods word..it is spiritually discerned...as a matter of fact a true christian is not allowed to have his own private interpretation..let me show you..
2 Peter 1: 20.Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
We are not allowed to give our opinions when it comes to Gods word...so do yourself a favor ...consider the word..of God and know it is real ..and that being the case ..you will stand before an awesome creator..who's word will will be clear and there will be no excuse...God bless

Lilith isn't interior the Bible yet many myths do point out her which contain some Jewish folklore. there are various memories that declare to be a area of the scriptures yet are no longer, basically like there are various "holy relics" that are fake. The Catholic Bible has a area called The Apocrypha which isn't in Protestant bibles yet there is not any debate approximately the different "lost" books which contain ones pointing out Lilith. they do no longer belong. each so often there is confusion with the aid of fact "Lilith" and "screech owl" are comparable in Hebrew.

from ur name, I can tell ur also Muslim. anyway, like I said, I'm muslim too, and I've never heard of anyone thinking Lilith was Adam's wife. I've never even heard that name. The thing is, I'm only 13, so I've only really looked @ anything but the Quran, so I can't really answer that question. But alot of Christians R gonna get mad @ u cuz they can't think of anything. just ignore them.

Genesis in The Holy Bible says Adam had only one wife. Read Genesis 2:23-24. Anything else would be speculation and unprovable.

i seen this question come up before and from the answers given , can only tell you that it is thought that Adams first wife Lilith was made from dust the same as Adam so they had equal rights , Lilith was proving to be very dominant and god sent her away on Adams request
then he created eve from Adam from his rib , so they he was the dominant one in the relationship
i am unsure where this comes from but did find many links to it and many answers to it from people here

The first and second chapters of Gen are speaking of the same thing. They are just accounted differently. One is like the outline, the second is more detailed. There was no Lilith. Just Eve.

This is text written much later than the Genesis text. Most likely a folktale or myth that was handed down to teach some kind of lesson.

Yep, she refused to be subjugated by Adam so Adam whined and got the first divorce. At least that is how the story goes.
