Guinea hens eat ticks and fleas. Guinea hens are also known as "watch birds" they will let out a loud clucking noise if they see anyone or any animal that is not a regular resident of the neighborhood. As far as mosquitos nothing can hold up to bats. The number of mosquitos that bats can devour in one night is in the thousands. Bat houses are readily available at any wild bird center and easy to mount to any pole or structure. You can't go wrong when you let mother nature take its course.

Anyone who answered Guinea Hens was correct. They can eat thousands in a minute. It is their goal in life and considerably reduce mosquitoes on your property. They may eat loose ticks from foliage, but I seriously doubt they can get close enough to animals (except maybe cows and horses) and eat ticks from them.
For anyone that answered bats, this is true, but they are not "farm birds", nor are blue jays, robins, etc.... good luck!

Barn Swallows are the best for mosquitos - their nests may be messy, but it's worth it to keep them around. You can encourage them to stop by putting out a barn swallow house in early spring before they migrate.

Chickens will eat flies, ticks, earthworms, and even mice if they can catch them. If you have young chicks, they may actually prefer to eat bugs instead of chicken feed.

Almost all birds including bluebirds eat insects. Bats are excellent insect eaters, too. You might consider putting up a bat shelter.
