Also maybe base it on its color (Brownie, Ruby, Rose, Coco)
Or on it personality ( Princess, perks, pal, lucky)

it took me so long to find one that just felt right. we had her for 1 month calling her no name before we finally got the name

Hm. Mine are named Buster and Cooper, both are boys. Off the top of my head, some of my friend's dogs names are Cocoa, Snickers, Shlomo, Lucy, Phoebe, Casey, and Snowy.
