It's saying they can't sleep at night. I'm not German, but I've taken a few years of classes.

It looks like "at night I cannot sleep" but the wording could be off.
Nacht - night
kann - I can
ich - i
nicht - not
schlafen - sleep
Why do you ask?

10 points for Traingirl! It does indeed mean "I can't sleep at night".
(I'm not German, but my wife is, and I've lived in Germany for the last 15 years)
Pistaccio is a cheating bastard - he changed his answer after traingirl wrote hers.

Literally, "At night I cannot sleep". A better English translation would be "I cannot sleep at night"
