In the woods. Since God didn't build a church and didn't write the books that churches follow. I go out into the woods and meditate. I see and feel the energy that is God all around me.

It does not matter as much where you are as it does what you are doing to get near God.His own instructions are to clap, wave your hands ,sing and shout about how good He is.He will inhabit the praise of His own people. Some churches may not be a comfortable place to experience this phenomena so try the woods and if you find the results good, look for a church where you can let go and praise God with others.Jesus went up on a mountain alone before some of the recorded miracles in the Bible. It is good to assemble with other believers also.

When I was a person of faith, I felt close to God equally in both places, though there was a special kind of purity to worshipping the creator in the open woods. It was more personal, somehow.

There is no cathedral more splendid than a forest.

In the splendor of nature, be it the woods, the sea or the desert, I feel more spiritual and it's easier to believe that a Supreme Being created all we see and touch.

Well it depends on my mood.

I can reach heights of Ecstasy in praise more in a prayer meeting at IHOP, but the forest can bring me to tears with it's lavish beauty. It always amazes me that God is so lavish in His creation. That a meadow of flowers could live for generations to be seen and appreciated by one person......
