Another one of those impossibly stupid hypothetical questions....2 points.

What an interesting question.

I would say that the aliens are very evil and that GOD would still very merciful of the aliens if they asked for forgiveness.

Why do we always blame God for all the evil that happens in this world?

In this case, why not blame the aliens? Afterall, they're the ones killing the people not God!

You see, I believe there is a God, but I also believe there is a devil, and though people try to always blame God, he's still merciful to everyone, he allows the sun to come out to good and evil.

So, let's stop blaming God and start blaming our selves for all the evil we bring upon our selves.

God will restore the earth and those who belive in him.

And by the way, aliens are destroying people, those aliens are the devil's angels that are all over the world starting wars, and diseases etc. So it's not God we need to blame but the aliens and those who obey their commands.

It depends on the nature of the aliens. If the aliens were some gastrointestinally harmful thing like outta Aliens then I'd say God is a MoFo. However if the aliens were beautiful amazon nymphos with 3 titties who were enslaving us to be their....friends. Well then I'll build a church myself!

Maybe God's not watching right now, and it's already happening. I wonder if He'll be upset when he tunes back in? His world's gone kind of crazy since the last time He sent in an agent.

The remake of the series Battlestar Galactica tackles this problem well, I think (even though I've only seen the first season so far).

Given the evil that is so prominent in our present world, only killing 2/3 of the people would be extremely merciful.

Sure would. Because they would be killing those that are so against God so that 1/3 that was left would be the good folk and they would be taken off to a much better world that was minus brainless jerks out to put down those that have a brain.

Sure, aliens have free will. It's not God's fault that aliens decided to attack. If you're faithful, you'll die and go to Heaven, so no need to worry.

Yes, overall He is, but then, we needed punishment- that's why He's merciful even though He sent us (Jews) into exile.
