first of all, use sunscreen on your hair while out in the sun. if you swim, use a cap. it's not "cute" but it keeps your hair pretty. if you are at a pool party or something, rinse your hair with tap water and put conditioner in it, then go swimming. this keeps the chlorine at bay.
second of all, damage control. cut the damaged ends off. don't wash your hair every day, only every 2 or 3 days. on the off days, rinse and condition your hair. Redken Smooth Butter (or whatever it's called) is pretty good. Use a spray on, leave in conditioner as well.
once a week, use a hair mask. take a damp towel and throw it in the dryer for 15 minutes. while that's going, rinse your hair, and put in a hair mask. then take the towel out of the dryer, and wrap it around your hair. leave it in for 30 minutes, then rinse.

It may be a bit expensive but Tigi Bed Head Chocolate Head is a really good product for dry or damaged or even treated hair. Here is Tigi's website with information about it... and I'm sure you can find it for less than what it says: http://www.tigihaircare.com/us/products/!! Good Luck!

If your swimming a lot & that is what is causing it then try using some special shampoo for swimmers - my sister uses it since she is in the pool so much . But otherwise deep condition your hair ; avoid the blow dryer & straightner as much as possible & maybe even try a hot oil treatment :]

You need a leave-conditioner. Two good ones are: Parenevu (tee-tree) conditioner...for all types of hair. Another one is: Panetene conditioner...for all types of hair. You can also try a hot oil treatment. However, do something fast, as your hair is "loosing" nutrients.

DO NOT STOP USING CONDITIONER OR PUT CHEMICALS IN YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!! before washing your hair put a scoop of mayonaise in your hair and rub that in for a minute before rinsing, then wash and condition like normal. not the most believable solution but it has all the right fats in it!

shampoo and conditioner that contains almond. or theres this indian hair oil, u shampoo your hair, then massage it in your hair and rinse it off. your hair will look greasy, but just leave it in for a night or so, wash it off and it will gradually become less dry. its called 'Vatika'.

I have the same problem girlfriend! I try not to wash it as much in hopes of not overdrying it even more. I have also heard that you should dicontinue using conditioner.
