My nephew was born without his left hand and most of his forearm. He is 23 months and has started showing interest in the potty. He is having difficulty with his pull up. Does anyone have any ideas or know of any websites that could help with the challenges he faces? Much appreciated!

As with all children he will learn to adapt to his disability just like a kid with all body parts learns, just let him experiment untill he figures it out, help him if he asks but if he dont ask just let him figure it out

Do they have to use the pull ups? How about just keeping him in a regular diaper so he can undo the tabs? That's the only thing I can think of. Also they can check with his doctor and see if they have any ideas on how to help him.

All kids learn to adapt to the environment. However, if it is of concern to you (as it seems) then you might want to discuss the matter with his pediatrician and perhaps get a referral to a physical therapist who specializes in toddler adaptation.

well i would try cloth training pants or teach him to tear the side of his pull up to get it off, or instead of a pull up keep him in a diaper so he can just pull the tab.
