If you are asking for help for the dry socket, call the dentist or oral surgeon who pulled the tooth. Yes, they may reprimand you for smoking after the surgery, as I am sure they told you not to. But, you need relief. If you are asking for help to stop smoking, you have to decide you want to do that and either quit cold turkey or talk with your physician about things that will help.

You were probably told to stop smoking by your dentist, so I won't go over that with you.

Try keeping a pack of chewing gum with you: It will give you something besides a cigarette to put in your mouth. And find a hobby that will keep your hands busy so they won't be reaching for those cigarettes.

You might want to start a mild exercise program too, to sort of rev up the rest of your body and help get the rest of the toxins out of your system.

Good luck!
