It will drop your credit considerably.

As mentioned, you can dispute this. But were you indeed paying the bill off every month *on time* and *to the set amount*? If so, then your dispute will probably hold up. If not, then it may well go to collections. One has to pay bills on time and fully in order to avoid credit problems.

You can dispute the bill with the collection agency. This can buy you time to pay it off. Also, another way, with a collection agency is to offer them, (In Writing) a settlement amount of say a percentage of the bill, they usually will repond with a demand for a higher settlement amount then you initally requested. Then send them a letter back stating that you will pay the balance in full if they agree not to report it to the credit bureaus as a collection account. You have thirty days from the date they recieve it to dispute it or pay it off.

$300 is alot to have outstanding on a cell phone bill. My monthly bill is $35. You must be several months behind.

Did you make an arrangement with Sprint about how much to pay each month? If not then its your responsiblity.

Why call Sprint an ***hole when YOU are the one who didn't live up to your end of the agreement when you bought the cell phone?

It will affect your credit score but that is your fault, don't try to blame it on Sprint.

i'm no longer thoroughly constructive in this yet i'm extraordinarily much constructive that submitting for financial ruin might replace your credit. credit ratings exist to enable lenders recognize how lots of a threat you're and in case you have filed for financial ruin then you are in all probability a threat and so your credit may be decrease. i'm constructive that paying your charges on time and stuff might advance your credit basically like it does for something, even though it ought to take longer.

if you have been paying your bill everymonth they wouldn't send it to the collection. If you pay $50 a week to it it would be paid off within 2 months.
