The most inconsiderate thing to do is to bring children in flights! I am sick and tired of toddlers CRYING their eyes out and bawling when i am trying to take a nap along with 300 other people. The constant fighting and getting up makes the trip very unpleasant, not to mention the running down the isles, playing in the lavatories and elbowing everyone sitting on either extreme.

PLEASE, if you have children drive to your destination. It'll be cheaper for you and you will make our flights more pleasant and get our money's worth. Children must be banned from airports!!

Amira must have grown up with a silver spoon in his/her mouth. Not everyone can afford to fly first class.

There should be rules for bringing children on planes, and fines for people that allow their children to become nuisances. Children should not be allowed to play in the bathroom or aisles, should have to stay in their seats, and NOT be allowed to repeatedly kick the seat in front of them, among other things.

I agree with you that it is annoying when the parents haven't brought anything to occupy their children. When i fly with my son we bring books, a portable DVD player and if we have a lay over i always make sure that he runs around in an empty terminal to get tired for the next leg of the flight and hopefully will sleep, I also make sure that he isn't kicking anyone seats. And as for the crying it hard because their little ears pop and that hurts them so i always try to have my son chew something on take off so this wont happen.

Its rude when parents haven't thought about their children getting on peoples nerves, put for the parents who have tried to think of everything so they have a pretty good flight and the children shouldn't be a bother. I also don't allow my child to run the halls and i usually try to get a seat at the very front or very back of the plane

Oh and sometimes driving isn't an option,

Perhaps you should stop thinking of an airplane as your personal nap zone. Everyone on the flight has paid the same. What about the guy snoring? Or the person who stinks up the bathroom? Or the loud-talking lady two rows back? With or without children, there will still be annoying and obnoxious people on the planes. At least you can shut a kid up with a couple of crayons and a bag of peanuts.

Can't drive overseas, I think more understanding needs to be in play on your part and more discipline on the parents part. Pressure change really messes with little ones, it hurts the poor little fella's. You shouldn't allow your child to roam up and down the aisles annoying other passengers, you have to play games with your kid, try your best to entertain them and keep them occupied. An airplane is a travelling machine, not a bedroom, they may offer pillows but that could be a comfort thing...
I don't understand you, how can your few hours of sleep be worth more than a famillies one vacation of the year, for all you know these people could struggle all year long to scrimp and save in order to experience these things once in their short lifetime and here you are complaining about some noise...ONE OF THESE THINGS IS MORE IMPORTANT!!! How can you not simply smile at the noise and imagine the memories this familly may create??? Please don't be so selfish, inconvenience or not.

Peace. A little tolerance. People have to travel, and they have to take their kids along. It's a fact of life. Pack some ear plugs, and ask parents to be respectful enough to other passengers curb any disruptive behavior.

I was on a flight once where the boy in the seat in front of me kept turning around and reaching between the seats to grab my foot. The appropriate way to deal with this was to firmly but politely ask the father travelling with the boy to have his son stop doing this. Several times I had to ask, but the answer is not to ban children from airports. The answer is to ask parents to be more respectful of fellow travellers, and do a better job of tending to their kids.

Boo you! Hooray Mark!

But seriously -- remove a few years from you, and you won't get to go see granma because you cry too much. Add a few years and you won't be able to go on family trips, because you have kids.

In the good old days you could sit in 'smoking' and not have to deal with that, but cry-baby do-gooders ended that.

I drove my baby to Hawaii just so she wouldn't bother anyone on a plane.
