Marrige is not something that you want to rush into because you don't want to be another statistic and get a divorce after a year. Take your time and get to know him, the real him, learn all of his bad habits, his flaws, what he likes and what he doesn't... really study him and find out if this is the person that you can form a life long partnership with because marrige is just that; make sure you are sure that you have the same goals in life ask him where he sees himself in five years and compare it to where you see yourelf. some men go at their own pace so don't rush anything the best things in life come to those who wait patiently! Good Luck!

All guys are different - some pop the question pretty soon in a relationship, and others take forever. Maybe your guy is looking for the perfect moment. Perhaps he is planning on taking you somewhere romantic before he proposes. Don't get impatient - the pressure might just ruin the relationship.

My husband proposed to me two months after we met, but we got married two years later, because I was working in England and he lives in Canada, and there was too much stuff to sort out. Now we are both in Canada.

Good luck and be patient!

You have to ask him. If it's in the cards, you should both have been talking about it, or at least discussing a committed future together.

Two years is the time to get married. Now is the time to find out if you will start making wedding plans or start to find a new guy.

It's not just up to him. You both have to discuss it.

Look at his parents and what kind of role models they are. That might have molded his thinking a bit.

Because he hasn't wanted to ask you yet. Are you looking for a ring? Have you two discussed the future. Maybe you're assuming he WANTS to marry anyone when he may be opposed to the whole idea of marriage.

Maybe he doesn't want to be married. Have you talked about how he feels about marriage? I was with my X for 4 years before we got married so a year and a few months isn't much in the scheme of things.

He's not ready to ask you yet...you might have to go a few more months, or years...how old are you, how old is he? Do you live together yet? Theres many factors...but all in all, when he is ready, I'm sure he will ask.

how old are you?
perhaps he hasn't thought about marriage yet.
You would know he wants to marry you when he speaks about future and mentions you, when he asks you about "child's name you would give to our kid" and so on.
Believe me, if a guy wants to know what your reaction to the proposal will be, he will start asking not directly some things like above.

why the hurry? speaking from a guys perspective, we have to be absolutely 100% sure, otherwise we feel that we could be trapped for the rest of our lives or get screwed in a divorce.
