I'm looking for a camcorder that's new and factory sealed. I already tried looking on ebay but they only have refurbished cams. Can anybody tell me a website or store where i could find a camcorder on a budget of $250.00 or less?

I would try qvc or hsn. We bought our camcorder from one of the home shopping channels and we got one better than we thought we could afford. The let you divide the payments up on a lot of their items but you get it delivered to your home paying just the first payment and S & H. There is no interest on these "flexible payments." We use it for all of our major electronic purchases.

For instance on hsn.com the have this one JVC 32x Optical Zoom MiniDV Camcorder - Item: 105-831. for 279.99 or 4 payments of 69.99 and free s & h.

If you don't have cable they have websites:
www.qvc.com or www.hsn.com

Wait until the day after Thanksgiving to purchase. You can look up 'Black Friday 2006' a few weeks' before and they will list items early as the sale ads are published. Then just wait in line if you have to. $250 should be an easy purchase for a quality camcorder. You might get lucky if an area store goes out of business too.

If you are near a Fry's Electronics store they probably have one. Besides, refurbished is often as good as new, just cheaper. If it was refurbed at the factory then it will be factory sealed.

$250 ought to be enough to get a decent camera. Try looking on store web sites, such as circuitcity.com, bestbuy.com, or even mysimon.com, which will compare prices from lots of online stores for various products.

Try future shop, or the other department stores like bay, sears, walmart - if you're going to travel soon, buy it from the airport - duty free!
