Ok. For all the smartass comments...I'm a ford woman. Can't stand general mistake. I would rather be driving my car than pushing it. So thanks anyway I will keep my fords.

Ok. Again here we go. I don't give a **** how common they are. My grandpa has one with 350,000 miles on it. Never had a problem out of it. He is the second owner. I am just wanting something cheaper on gas because my mustangs are just drinking it.

Thanks for your support of Ford, I too am a Ford Woman !
I've been selling them for years!
Currently 1-2 year olds go for about 1/2 their original value, so they sell quickly, and are an excellent choice for someone looking to get alot of value for the $$$

You are welcome to search my inventory @ www.foxvalleyford.com

If you're in the Midwest & plan on visiting or inquiring about our vehicles PLEASE ask for ETHOL...(not my real name But Marc will know who you're looking for.

If not in the Midwest, you can still look at my vehicles & prices, if only for comparison value.

Good Luck & Thanks Again !!!

Yes they are good cars, however, due to the bad reputation that the Taurus got during the 90s for TERRIBLE transmissions(they are all better now) and the massive numbers of basic models that were sold to rental fleets, the value goes down really fast on these cars. This is bad news for someone who bought one new, but it is great news for someone who buys one used!!! You can get a REALLY nice 02 or 03 Taurus for about 4-5000. I have seen 05's selling in the 8000 range! Dont listen to all the Japanese loving American Car bashing replies to your question. They dont know what they are talking about. Good Luck!

update: Cheaper on Gas??? Ford Focus Wagon...Lots of room to haul stuff with your growing family...and 28-35mpg!
I Love my little 98 Escort Wagon!!!

Your best deal would be on a 03 or 04 lease return. I've bought 3 of my vehicles as lease returns and they've been great. I had a retired rental, but didn't like it as much. (May have been because it was an Escort and my husband had the Explorer. A little car envy.)

Check your local Ford dealership to see if they have anything on the lot. Before you go in to talk to a sales person, check kbb.com. (Kelly Blue Book.)

they are high quality automobiles and not had any issues. My cousin offered a clean 2010 SHO Taurus and that motor vehicle is super rapid. I basically choose Ford presented a coupe or convertible Taurus, i might like that over a sedan.

They are great cars. I have a 92 with 180k on the clock. As long as you maintain them and take care of them they will run for ever. They one i have is an ex rental but since they are a dime a dozen you should find one cheap. I would research if there where any changes in those years, motor sizes features etc. I have the 3.0 liter in mine and if it was me i would go with 02 and the smallest motor to save money. Good luck and enjoy...

Ha, I sell Ford in Canada.

They are only making Taurus for fleet.

you see, Taurus are still trusted by most rental companies. If it is that bad, would they keep buying Taurus from Ford?

Yes, 02-05 Taurus are so cheap... Around $10000 Cdn for a SEL loaded with 20000 km. somewhere like that

I am not a fan of ford but its your car and your choice.
The car all depends if you want/new, what options, what color, where you get it from. if you let me know about that then i can help ya out with the price.

do yourself a favor and DON'T BUY A FORD. it may be cheap to purchase but you will put in too much money for repairs. get any GM product. they last longer with less problems.
