So as not to contradict what their religion says they try and balance and find ways to justify what science says in relation to their religion. For example, evolution.

Evolution has a myriad of facts and proven scientific evidence for its existence. So much so that Christians, being unable to deny it, have absorbed it into their philosophy. Genesis clearly states how God created people (creationism) yet when confronted with scientific evidence they cannot challenge they absorb it and say "Oh yeah, well, evolution is how it happened, but only because God made it that way" When will you finally admit you are wrong?

Christianity only rarely and reluctantly admits it's wrong. To my knowledge it has *never* admitted that the bible is wrong (except of course the bible books Christianity had to modify to conform to its dogma, or excluded altogether - those were "wrong").

Evidence? What evidence? Embryonic similarities?Haeckel's drawings were exposed as fraud in 1860 (he used mid development embryos, not early, which contradicts Darwin that we start off similar then grow increasingly different, he didn't draw them all, he used a template, and he handpicked embryos that are similiar anyway, ignoring those in the same class that are way different) Or how about the Miller experiment? He didn't use the right stuff to simulate the earth's atmosphere, and when you do use the right mixture, you get embalming fluid. Darwin's Tree of Life? What about the Cambrian explosion? Extensive fossil evidence supports that thre was an "explosion" of the major groups of animals that appear suddenly in the fossil record, which totally shoots down the "gradual evolvement over bazillions of years thing. The kicker is that Darwin knew that.
Embryonic gills? can you say "folds of skin?" Even fish do not have gills at that stage of development. Homology of wing, flipper, leg hand? The answer to that is Berra's blunder. He said you can prove descent with modification by comparing a 53 and 54 corvette side by side. That actually shows a designer was involved. Human genes and ape genes? Yes, they are 98% similar, but then you have to believe that our enormous differences are found in that 2%, which by the way those genes have nothing to do with anatomy anyway. Archeopteryx? The fossils of birds that look most like reptiles occur millions of years after Archeopteryx. Missing link still missing.
So, bottom line, your myriad of facts are nothing more than shifting sand and a house of cards.
And as for your question: do Christians try to fit current scientific fad in to the Bible? Yes, it happened in the 1800'w when Darwin's book came out. that's where the gap theory came from. They said well, of course God created, but he used evolution to do it. Not a very powerful God, in my opinion, which is why I believe 7 days, 6000 years.
Now how on earth did I answer the people answering my question on your question?
Oh well! Thanks for the fun!

As I grow older, I realize that alot of scientific conclusions are definitely molded after a prevailing paradigm or theory or even a predisposed conclusion. Conclusions that require extrapolation from empirical results may or may not be true, regardless of trends in the data. There is nothing wrong with educated guesses, but to rule out other possibilities -- even ones that acknowledge God -- simply because science has yet to figure out a way to measure it, is wrong. In fact, the day Jesus is proven to be God will be the day that faith no longer is needed. And it is faith that is the only way for us to be saved, according to the Bible.

Human evolution can't be proven... it's still a theory and animal evolution doesn't go against Christianity... and also most of what you atheist say is proof against Christianity can be countered by the Bible. God Bless

I would be interested in knowing all this irrefutable evidence that exist regarding evolution. I have never read anything that is not opinion of pseudo scientist. They propose evolution because they believe it is impossible to include God as a consideration. Therefore, the only other logical choice is evolution. That is anti-intellectual and silly.

Science has always proved God's word in the Bible. Science supports the Bible. Evolution is not science, it is a aethiestic religion.

The Weslyan Quadralateral:
Scripture
Experience
Tradition
Reason

I live my life based on this and in doing so can easily accept science in my faith. You cannot base all of your faith on scripture or tradition but you must also include experience and most importantly REASON otherwise you may find yourself with blinders on all your life.

Evolution has no scientific proof. In fact scientific proof is against evolution.

That has been my experience. Religion evolves, and then pretends it was always that way.
