It is crazy because the rest of my family are Christians. How can things not affect me? If it affects my family, it affects me. Same as if it affects me, it affects my family.

I find it a bit odd that your friends were not afraid of Christian backlash when they came out of the closet but they are when trying to adopt a child.
It doesn't matter what you believe in anymore, everyone is persecuted for their beliefs no matter what.
People that don't believe in the Bible affect the lives of those who do. It's a two way street. Someone who doesn't believe in the Bible may drink and drive and kill a Christian, hence affecting their life. It is a bit of a generalization to think that Christians are the only ones to think this way, or vice versa.

You're generalizing, only morons do that....not all Christians think that way, you can't group us together...is it true all black people like KFC?
Your gay friends CHOSE not to adopt kids because they decided to let religion affect them when it shouldn't. "too many problems in a Christian society having two male parents" ....ok only in a fundamentalist Christian society, and have you looked around? ha! That's not the society we live in, it's easy to find people and places who accept gay parents...it's not the 1920's anymore kid.
You are making it sound worse then it is, (if your story is true at all) you're doing it all for your Athiest agenda. Stop pushing your belief on others, you guys complain about Christians doing it, yet you guys don't let up.

The truth is...... God affects each and every one of us, whether we believe in Him or not. We are a part of God, He is our creator, and He will keep knocking on our door and tugging at our hearts till we find the answers to our questions. If you don't believe in God, you will always feel offended, pushed into believing, wondering, searching, and fighting Him off. The reason we do that is because we our not comfortable giving up ourselves and letting Him take control of our lives. What you don't know and what you don't believe will leave you with a huge void, hence, anger, doubt, fear will enter you easily. When you have the power of God and faith in Jesus Christ, the problems, fears, and doubts become lighter and lighter the stronger your faith becomes.

The Christian society does not make these people make the decisions, it the stereotype we've been given that we hate everyone that is not like us and we condem you to hell if you do this ot that.... which isn't true for most christians,
and i disagree with the top thing, whoever said it, if you don't believe in the Bible it does effect you, it effects everyone

They think that you're instantly somehow less of a good person than they are because you don't believe in the bible. It's truly sad.... sorry to hear that your friends were affected by religion in that way. Yet again, another reason I refuse to support religion in any way.

I agree with you I'm a christian and your friends sound like two wonderful guys who does wonderful things in their community and I'm pretty sure are love by many.....I'm pretty sure I would like them too...."but" i don't agree with homosexuality because of God's word....and I don't agree with them adopting a child due to their un natural relationship......not based on their wonderful personality and their loving hearts.......because from that side of them I'm pretty sure they would make great role models.

I only care when I'm confronted with it.
And I like to come on here and spout a bit :) I don't mind challenges to my worldview. Some of the comments on here are good food for thought.

Perhaps it is when the believers try to 'shove it down' the throat of the non-believer that it becomes an issue for either debate or comment.
