He doesn't have the problem, you do, if you stay with him and are even questioning it. He sounds like a sadist to me. He seemed to punish you for feeling good, even though he made you feel that way. Please get rid of this guy before you start asking yourself, "Why does he beat me up everytime he tells me he loves me?:" good luck darlin, you need it.
